August Story: Becoming Fox Woman -Soul Story & Tea & Artistic Exploration with Stasha of the Wild Matryoshka

I’ve been mesmerized by the Siberian story of Becoming Fox Woman. My friend told it at a women’s story gathering in spring. There were moments in the story where I realized my mouth was agape, in awe, barely breathing…transfixed and also, moments when the essence of the story ran straight into my soul, penetrated me so fully, that I too, became fox, experiencing stars and tears rush through me red heart pumping alive.

It’s a medicine story. I think an important story. A soul tale. An eros tail. A tale of transition, of leaving and returning and becoming. Of endings and constellations forming new stories.

I have also been asking: What are the Medicine Stories of these Times we are living in? Which stories do I need to be telling and why?

I watched a telling of this story by the eros drenched storytelling of Martin Shaw, and cried several times. I told the story to a friend, and cried again. I cannot say that I’ve had tears move me before the way tears tear through me inside of this story. Maybe it is like this when one makes contact with one’s medicine story. Or maybe, this is more of the kind of story I need, and that the world needs, for the times we are in now.

I want to tell you this story. I want to tell everyone this story. I want to sit together with you and guide you through a couple writing prompts and/or art process to discover how and where this story moves in you.

This story is a gorgeous winding hearth beating, wildling of a story. She will capture you with her furred paws and her animal scent. She will wild her way into you. I promise.
